Frequently Asked Questions

What are the requirements to participate in the Vision Program?

We ask that our applicants work and/or live within St. Charles County to apply and participate in the Vision Program.

How much does this program cost?

Obviously there is a cost to run this program and, fortunately, our sponsors allow us to keep our costs lower with their generous financial support.

Full tuition cost is $1,225. This covers all meals, transportation and hotel costs throughout the full program year. There really shouldn’t be any additional “out of pocket” costs to participate unless you want an extra soda or a t-shirt at one of our stops!

What is my time commitment to the program?

Our Program year runs from August through April and we have one full business day each month (typically from 7:30am until 5:00pm) where we plan activities – field trips, speakers, panel discussions, tours and presentations.

We provide you with all Program Dates in advance and expect all participants to fully participate on these dates. We have two overnight events – one in August and one in February – that are mandatory for graduation. There may be additional time scheduled by project groups outside of these program dates but those are scheduled by you and your groups to meet your own scheduling needs.

How long has this program been around?

Vision St. Charles County Leadership began – officially – in 1998 with our first graduating class. The program began a few years before as a “Your Professionals” organization within a couple of different Chambers in the community.

Their efforts merged into Vision in 1998 and the program has been running as an independent 501c3 organization ever since.

How many people have gone through the Vision Program?

As of 2020, we have had 565 participants graduate from the Vision Program. Our Alumni list reads like a “Who’s Who” of St. Charles County featuring political figures, heads of companies, founders of non-profits, executive directors, fire chiefs and dozens of entrepreneurs. Check out our alumni list to see how many names you may recognize.

How can I find out more and how do I get started?

Drop us an email or give us a call! We appreciate the chance to sit down “one on one” to share the Vision story with you and explain how this can be beneficial for you – and your personal development – and for your company.

We often talk about the great experience involved with program participants but the networking opportunities and the chances for business connections are endless. Let’s schedule a time soon to meet over a cup of coffee and talk more about it and how it can fit into your educational and networking plans.
